Happy Anniversary
Pacific Presbyterian Church, 410 West St. Louis St., will celebrate their 150th anniversary on Sunday, July 27, 3-8 p.m. Join them for a Block Party, Games, Face Painting, Food and Fun, Entertainment with Music and Song. RSVP to the church or 636-257-2742.
Dardenne Presbyterian Church will celebrate their 195th anniversary on Saturday, September 20 & 30. All are invited for food, fun, games for kids and adults, horses, hay rides, covered wagon, music, costumes, corn maze, historic reenactments, tours of 1800s sites and cemeteries.

The national Presbyterian Hunger Program, in collaboration with Joining Hands in Peru, is offering this trip to coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Lima. It will include a visit to the Andes to see the effects of climate change. Application deadline is August 15. For more information and an application form, click here or contact Mark Strothmann

Director of Music Ministries: Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ, Oakville, is seeking a part-time Director for traditional and contemporary music. Responsibilities: leading and directing the Sanctuary Choir, providing for a Bell Choir, development of a children’s choir and ensembles. A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in music and proficiency in pipe organ and piano are desired. Submit resumes and inquiries here
Worship & Music Director: John Calvin Presbyterian Church, Bridgeton. Qualifications include formal training and either possess or be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree with completed courses in music theory and choral conducting. Contact the church at 314-739-3066.
Organist: Curby Memorial Presbyterian Church, St. Louis. Responsibilities include providing traditional, gospel and contemporary music on Sunday mornings and holiday services. Live auditions will be part of the selection process. Please email a resume and three references to the church.

in 1902, when the Frisco Railroad was surveyed, the line ran directly through this church, so the railroad company paid for the property and the church moved to their present location.
Last Week: In 1872, Dr. William Elliott arrived in Doniphan, MO, which had no Presbyterians. He was also a preacher and called the townspeople together to lead them in "one of the most deeply spiritual and far-reaching meetings that the county has ever known in all its history." The Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Doniphan was organized in 1873, eventually becoming the First Presbyterian Church of Doniphan.

Training: Pastoral Care
The Community of Hope (COH) in the Episcopal Diocese enables caregivers to be a presence to those in hospitals, skilled care, hospice, personal homes, in jails/prisons, retirement settings or the disadvantages wherever. All denominations are encouraged to participate. The training will take place at the Church of St. Michael & St. George beginning Monday, Sept. 8, 5-8 p.m., and continue through December 8. The cost is $75. For more information contact Miriam Jenkins at 314-773-5510.
